Local sources said that electricity was cut off in large areas of Tabriz on Tuesday night for the second night in a row, following unannounced blackouts. Adel Kazemi, CEO of Tabriz Power Distribution Company, stated that the reason for the unannounced blackouts in this city was "reduction of Tabriz electricity quota from 960 to 660 MW"
