In the women's 50kg taekwondo, Kimia Alizadeh of the refugee team won 3-0 against Nahid Kiani of Iran. With this defeat, Nahid Kiani was prevented from continuing the competition and was eliminated. Kimia Alizadeh was an Iranian taekwondo fighter who competed in the Olympics after leaving Iran with the refugee team.
