Moradi’s Breaks All Records in His Second Consecutive World Championship

 

Sohrab Moradi became the world champion in weightlifting for the second year in a row in Turkmenistan's Ashgabat.

In the 96 kg weight group, Sohrab Moradi lifted 186 kg in the snatch round and 230 kg in clean and jerk, and 416 in total, and won three gold medals, having broken the world record in each category. He improved the world snatch record by one kilogram, clean and jerk 5 kilograms, and in total 15 kilograms.
