Brian Hook, the chairman of Iran Action Group, gave a speech on Thursday in Washington, in which he talked about the “U.S efforts to confront the Islamic Republic’s destructive activities in the region.”

During his speech, evidence was displayed as proof that the Islamic Republic arms paramilitary proxy groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Taliban in Afghanistan, and Houthis in Yemen, with modern weaponry, and causes more destabilization and conflict in the region. The chairman of Iran Action Group called this a threat to international peace and security.

A land to air missile was displayed with “hunting missile” written on it in Persian, which according to Hook, Iran has provided for Houthis in Yemen, and that is an obvious violation of U.N resolutions. Hook said this proves that Iran is not at all worried about getting caught violating U.N laws.

Another display was an anti-tank missile. Other types of Iran-made missiles used by Houthis were also displayed, including “Fajr missile”. This type of missile has been found in Afghanistan and on waters near Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

Hook also mentioned that the Islamic Republic has helped $4.6 billion a year to the Assad regime and controls over 10000 soldiers in Syria, some of them 12-year-old children.  

He announced that the United States is trying to limit the Islamic Republic’s activities in Syria, Golan Heights, Iraq, and Yemen.
