Fox News: Iran took the crew of one of the tankers by force

According to Fox News, an American official has claimed that the crew of one of the oil tankers attacked on Thursday near the Strait of Hormuz is being held in Iran.

Fox News report claims the 23 crew members of the Front Altair tanker were first saved by a commercial ship that belonged to Hyundai company in Dubai, but the ship was then surrounded by Iranian military boats and they took the crew with them.

Today, Tasnim News, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) published videos of the 23 crew members. Later, Press TV, an Iranian state-owned news agency published a full video which included some interviews with the crew.

In the video, the crew is filmed watching a speech by Ali Khamenei, the leader of Iran.

Press TV announced that the crew consists of 11 Russians, 11 Filipinos, and one Georgian.

The crew of the other attacked tanker was saved by an American ship and the U.S Army has announced that they will be delivered soon.

Fox news also announced that another American Navy ship has been positioned near the Strait of Hormuz to secure the oil transportation network from the Persian Gulf. Every day, almost 19 million barrels of oil, 20 percent of the world’s oil consumption, pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
