Two Economic Criminals Sentenced to Death

Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i, the spokesman for the Islamic Republic Judiciary announced that two individuals convicted of economic corruption have been sentenced to death.

On his weekly press conference, Eje’i said: “Dariush Ebrahimian and Younes Bahaoldini have been sentenced to death for spreading corruption on earth but their sentence has not been finalized yet.”

Previously, the Fars province judiciary had accused the two of organized disruption of the economy and the banking system to the amount of 1,540,461,900,143 Rials (around 10 million dollars) and had charged them with spreading corruption on earth.

Eje’i also announced that an employee of the foreign ministry named Kamal Amirbeig has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and $270000 of his properties have been confiscated for espionage.

He also reported that 18 have been arrested in relation to the case of counterfeit alcoholic drinks which has led to the death of 38 people.
