Rouhani: Power Struggle Between Iran and U.S Is at Its Highest Level

The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran once again criticized the United States and its policies in the region on Wednesday, February 20. He described the United States’ pressure on banks and companies against working with Iran as “a hundred percent terrorism”.

President Trump recently said pressures will increase on the regime of Iran as much as possible in order to make the regime change its behavior.

Rouhani called the Warsaw summit “fake” and United States’ goal for organizing it “Iranophobia” and “distracting from the issue of Palestine” and emphasized that the U.S failed in both fields.

Rouhani also described the meeting between Iran, Russia, and Turkey in Sochi as firm and effective. According to the president, all three countries agreed that American activities in Syria were in fact in the benefit of the terrorists.

Although American troops are scheduled to leave Syria by the end of April, Iran has started a heavier criticism of American presence in Syria “after” President Trump announced the exit schedule.

Rouhani also emphasized Iran’s hope for a good and friendly relationship with Europe and asked the European countries to keep their promises, just as they said they would in front of the cameras.

Recently, the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic said that the Europeans should not be respected nor trusted.

President Rouhani also warned that “the people of Iran will not be bullied.” Referring to the criticism of European countries of Iran’s missile program.
