Video reports from Tehran show police forces preventing the student day rally to form in front of Tehran University. In the videos, the police forcefully remove the students off the ground, which leads to protest by students.

In Sharif University, there was another student day rally with guests Mohammad Reza Jalaeipour, Ahmad Zeid Abadi, and Parvaneh Salahshouri. Ahmad Zeid Abadi, a journalist who was incarcerated after the 2009 elections, criticized the current political atmosphere and said there was more freedom during Ahmadinejad’s first term than now.

In Tabriz, reformist congressman Masoud Pezeshkian’s speech was interrupted by students and he left the event in protest.
