Over 2200 alcohol poisoning and over 250 deaths in Iran

Official reports from Iran indicate that in recent weeks, deaths from alcohol poisoning has increased exponentially and so far, over 250 people have died and the number of alcohol poisoning cases has passed 2200.

The spokesman for the emergency services of Fars province announced on Wednesday that there have been 592 cases of alcohol poisoning in the province out of which 72 have lost their lives.

Meanwhile, according to the regime’s official reports, there are 589 cases of COVID19 in the province with 22 dead.

In Khuzestan province, the alcohol poisoning cases have doubled in one hospital. According to Mehr News, at least 700 patients have been hospitalized in Imam Khomeini hospital for alcohol poisoning.

In Yazd province, out of 35 patients, five patients under 30 years old have passed away from the same issue. In Kermanshah province, 30 cases have been reported with two dead.In Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province, 21 cases have been reported with one dead. In East Azerbaijan, 230 cases have been reported.

Drinking Alcohol is forbidden in Iran.
