Mousavi: Release the Uncensored File of My Meeting with Khamenei

Mir Hossein Mousavi suggested that the uncensored video of his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, should be released. The meeting took place after the 2009 presidential elections.

This suggestion came after a video clip was recently released of Khamenei on July 21st of 2009, in which he criticizes Mousavi for not accepting the election results.

Mir Hossein Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard have been under house arrest since the Winter of 2011. In the recently released video, Khamenei says he thought Mousavi would immediately back down from his claim of election fraud.

There were massive peaceful and silent protests in Tehran after the election.

On July 20th of 2009, the supreme leader rejected the possibility of election fraud and in a speech that was received as a threat, warned that the protesters “will be responsible for the violence, chaos, and the blood that will be spilled.”
