Mass Resignation in Etemad Melli Party

Just before the assembly of the Etemad Melli (National Trust) Party’s congress, 110 members of this party announced their resignations from the party in a letter to the chairman.

The resigning members say that the upcoming congress assembly is illegitimate, and the upcoming changes will turn Etemad Melli Party into a follower of certain reformist organizations with Godfather complex.

Etemad Melli party was founded by Mehdi Karroubi, the dissident cleric who is currently under house arrest.
