Iran International has received evidence that shows the Security Department of the Ministry of Health of Iran has begun distributing classified forms in some schools in Tehran for the inquisition, report, and classification of the students and teachers.

The forms are titled as “details of religious minority students” and “institution personnel” in order to clarify the religious views, sexuality, nationality, and classification of teachers and students in specific groups.

It is unclear how many schools in Tehran or other cities have received these forms.

This is not the first time such forms are being distributed by the Ministry of Education. Throughout the years the Islamic Republic has distributed such forms in schools and universities and as a result, in many cases, students were denied higher education, and teachers and professors were laid off.

When human rights activists reported the distribution of these forms in some schools last year, the Minister of Education, Mohsen Haj Mirzaei, stated: “Illegal sects must not be promoted in schools.” Bahaism is considered an illegal religion in Iran and Bahai citizens are denied citizens’ rights, including the right to education.

Aside from the personal information of students and their parents, the school administrators also must provide detailed information on students of other religions.

The form classifies students in groups of Shia, Sunni, Wahhabism, Christian, Jewish, Bahai, Dervish, Zoroastrian, Hojjatiyeh, and new religions (Satanism and new age mysticism).

In another form, the schools' officials must report the religious behavior of their colleagues.
