Ejei: Saudi Arabia Was Raising Money for Karroubi

Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, the spokesperson for the judiciary claims that during the 2009 protests to the presidential election, Saudi Arabia was raising money for Mehdi Karroubi, one of the leaders of the protesters.

According to FARS News, Ejei explains this in a book called “The Conspiracy of Fraud” which is about the 2009 election.

Ejei was the Minister of Intelligence in Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s cabinet from 2005 to 2009.

According to Ejei, he told Karroubi in a meeting not to get help from foreign countries. He adds: “I knew they were getting help from the Saudis and other middle eastern countries.” He claims the foreign interference was discovered at that point.

He also talks about his role in the investigation committee reviewing the rape claims in jails, and his secret meeting with Mousavi after the election.

In another part, he mentions the claims made by the green movement leaders regarding the election fraud.
