Ahvaz Steelworkers: “Palestine, Syria, Causes of Our Misery”

 

The Ahvaz National Steel Industry workers continued their protests today by chanting slogans such as “Palestine, Syria, causes of our misery”.

Today is the 25th day of the workers strike and 19th day of their protest in front of government buildings and the office of the supreme leader’s representative in Khuzestan.

Morteza Akbarian, a labor activist of the Ahvaz National Steel Group denied the claims made by authorities and asked: “Why did the provincial officials lie about paying the workers for two months and restarting production?”

The Ahvaz steelworkers also announced their support of Haft-Tappeh Sugarcane Company workers protests and chanted “Haft-Tappeh prisoners must be released.”

Kiumars Kazemi, the new CEO of the company was introduced on Saturday.
