70 Percent of Suicides in Iran are committed by Women

Zahra Hemmati, director of Welfare in Ilam province said: “Four provinces of Ilam, Kermanshah, Lorestan, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad have the highest rate of suicide in the country.”

According to her, the highest rate of suicide is in the 15 to 40 age group, and according to the statistics from the last 20 years, 70% of suicides are committed by women and 30% by men.
