According to reports, a Taliban delegation has met with Islamic Republic of Iran's officials in Tehran. The members of the Taliban political office arrived in Tehran after they visited Moscow.

Last week President Trump announced that the talks between the US and Taliban are dead after the terrorist attack by the Taliban in Kabul.

Two Lebanese citizens were killed in Tehran

Islamic Republic's Fars News Agency has confirmed the reports about the assassination of two Lebanese citizens in Tehran's Pasdaran Street. The eyewitnesses say the father and daughter were shot to death in their car by an assailant on a motorcycle.

Tehran’s Chamber of Commerce: $98 billion capital has left Iran in the past 9 years

The chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce announced that according to the Central Bank reports, in the past nine years $98.4 billion capital has been taken out of the country.

Khansari stated that on average each year $11 billion has been taken out of the country.

 

Former CIA agent: There was military ammunition at the explosion site in Beirut

Robert Bauer, former CIA agent assigned to the Middle East says based on the videos, ammonium nitrate was not the only cause of explosion in Beirut.

In an interview with CNN, Bauer said he believes that there were military ammunition and explosives at the site of the explosion, but it is not clear whose.

He stated that it was clearly a military explosion and that the initial explosion was caused by the ammunition, before the second and bigger blast.

Bauer added that nobody would accept that military explosives were being kept at the port. It is a stupid thing to do.

Ministry of Health: 185 deaths of coronavirus in the past 24 hours

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that in the past 24 hours, 2697 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been identified and 185 patients passed away from coronavirus. This brings the official death toll of coronavirus in Iran to 17802.

1900 personnel of emergency services have contracted coronavirus

The director of Iran’s emergency services announced that 1900 personnel of the emergency services have contracted coronavirus and four of them have died.

He did not offer any details about the provinces where the victims were located.

Narges Mohammadi’s attorney: Prisoners do not receive appropriate food and medicine

Political prisoner Narges Mohammadi’s attorney says his client has told him that the 12 prisoners in Zanjan prison who have contracted coronavirus are still in quarantine and do not receive appropriate food and medicine. 

Behzad Mahmoudirad told Emtedad Telegram channel that he talked to his client yesterday. 

According to the report, two prisoners are in terrible condition and one was transferred to the hospital due to shortness of breath.

Iran’s judiciary: Kylie Moore-Gilbert will meet with Australian ambassador

After the transfer of incarcerated Australian researcher Kylie Moore-Gilbert from Evin prison to Qarchak prison’s general prisoner population, the Iranian judiciary’s Mizan News Agency announced that she is in good health and will be meeting with the Australian ambassador in four days. 

Kylie Moore-Gilbert is a professor of Islamic studies at the University of Melbourne. She was arrested during her visit to Iran in the Fall of 2018. She has dual Australian-British citizenship and has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Islamic Republic judiciary.
