A team of three Taliban delegates arrived in Kabul on Tuesday to negotiate prison exchange with the government of Afghanistan. Experts believe this could be a precursor to the negotiations between the Taliban and the Afghanistan government’s delegation.
In the recent agreement between the Taliban and the U.S, it was decided that the Taliban and the Afghan government would negotiate over the exchange of 6000 prisoners.
Prisoner exchange has always been one of the main obstacles for the negotiations.
The Guardian Council passes the "fighting Israel's hostility" act.
The spokesperson for the GuardianCouncil announced that the council has approved of the bill to "fight Israel's hostilities". The bill tasks the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran with following up in the UN the plan for a national referendum in Palestine.
According to the bill, any "cultural or propaganda action that would support or emboldens" Israel would be punished and sentenced to prison.
Body of Human Rights activist Ali Ajami was brought to Iran from Texas
The body of human rights activist Ali Ajamiwas transferred to Iran and buried in his hometown in Sabzevar on Thursday. He was found dead on May 6 in a lake in Houston, Texas.
Ajami Had spent two years in prison in Iran and was denied higher education on the charges of propaganda against the regime and acts against the national security.
Iranian Medical Council Organization: 107 Iranian medical personnel died of coronavirus
Iran’s Medical Council reported that 792 medical personnel in Iran have contracted coronavirus and 107 have died.
A spokesman for the Medical Council Organization said: “We are quickly gathering data from around the country to find out exactly how many medical personnel have contracted COVID-19 and how many have lost their lives.
Other Islamic Republic officials, including the Ministry of Health, have provided different numbers.
Iran used “Ghadr” ballistic missile in launching Noor satellite
IRGC’s Tasnim news agency announced in a report that the military’s Ghadr ballistic missile was used for the launch of Noor satellite and its propulsion liquid fuel was the improved version from Shahab-3 missiles.
According to the report, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) used Ghadr missile for the first stage of the launch. In 2014, Fars news agency had reported that Ghadr missile is the new and improved version of Shahab-3 missile which uses liquid fuel and has a range of 1650 km.
Saeed Mollaei to testify against Iran's judo federation
In an interview with Shargh newspaper, the president of Iran's Judo Federation, Arash Mir-Esmaili, expressed concern over judoka Saeed Mollaei's decision to testify in an international court about this federation's policy of not facing Israeli athletes.
According to Shargh newspaper: "The situation has become so complex that the issue now is not just the suspension of the Judo Federation, but all of Iran's sports."
