Iran International shortlisted for AIB’s Best International Channel of the Year

Iran International TV channel has been shortlisted for the Best International Channel of the year by the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB).

The AIB is a nonprofit NGO founded in 1993 to support organizations that face unique challenges by virtue of their remit to broadcast to and publish in multiple global jurisdictions and cultures.

Iran International has been nominated in two categories this year.

In the International Channel of the Year category, Iran International is nominated along with Al Jazeera English, Alhurra Television, and CNN International.

In the Arts and Culture category, Abdul Majid’s Goat by Alireza Mir Asadollah has been nominated from Iran International. The documentary, made in Morocco,  competes with six other films in this category.

The award ceremony will be held in London on November 6.

Iran International is a private independent 24-hour network which began broadcasting on May 19 of 2017.
